Mitä saada aikaan yhdistelemällä nykyisiä palveluita

Lähtökohtana tälle Aalto yliopiston Taideteollisen korkeakoulun Media Labissa tehtävälle  maisterilopputyölle on kysymys: Mitä saadaan aikaan yhdistämällä nykyisiä sähköisiä palveluita? Digitaaliset viestintäkanavat kehittyvät ja monipuolistuvat nopeaan tahtiin ja aivan uudenlaisia palveluita julkaistaan huimaa vauhtia. Monet näistä palveluista ovat ilmaisia ja perustuvat käyttäjien luomaan sisältöön ja sen jakamiseen. Kilpailu käyttäjistä on kovaa. Osa palveluista koettaa tarjota kaikkea mahdollista, toiset taas rajaavat kohderyhmänsä hyvin suppeaa käyttäjäryhmään. Osa palveluista perustuu tarjoamaan lisäarvoa muihin olemassa oleviin palveluihin.

Tämän tutkielman lähtökohtana on  käyttää mahdollisimman paljon olemassa olevia palveluita ja koota niistä käyttäjän kannalta hyvä paketti. Päämääränä on ei ole luoda uutta erillistä järjestelmää, vaan enemmän keskittyä olemassa olevien palveluiden sovittamista yhteen käyttäjälle edullisella tavalla.

This site is about my thesis project to Media Lab Helsinki on the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Currently the process is taking it's form and all updates are going to be updated here.

The project is about open and free social media digital communication tools from the organizations and NGOs point of views. Focus is to find and combine a set of tools so that they suits for needs of the organization.

There is on the web a plenty of open source and free digital tools for everybody to use. Some of them are easy to start using without too much hazzle. Organizations have various communication challenges to meet. Challenge is to find and combine appropriate set so that it suits for needs and does not require too many resources.

Project is using Finnish Kitesurfers as a target audience. They are active users of various digital tools and they would get a lot of benefits from combined working tools. Plan is to make a demo/prototype site.

First face is to find and set up some tools to start the process, make a research about existing practices and contact people to work with.
