Plan International Suomi on lastenoikeusjärjestö.

 MAKING CHILD RIGHTS A REALITY

Child rights are human rights that belong to children in all countries. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child has been ratified by every country in the world except for the United States. In Finland, it came into effect in 1991.

The Convention on the Rights of the Child asserts that children have the right to grow up without the threat of violence, discrimination or exploitation. Children should not have to do heavy labour; instead, they have the right to play and attend school. Every child should have an adult who looks after them.

Plan International Finland is a child rights organisation. Our organisation works to promote child rights around the world. Plan’s goal is to ensure that policymakers, government officials and parents enforce child rights.
